Longniddry

Longniddry

We offer the younger student a careful path of progression with the opportunity to learn Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Scottish. We plan levels of training carefully designed to introduce the correct technique and instruction appropriate for the age and physical development of the student. Our school ethos is to nurture each individual child to develop their own strengths and provide them with the confidence and poise to support them throughout life.

At Longniddry Church Hall we run Ballet, Jazz and Hip hop dance classes after school on a Thursday. We teach children from the age of 3 – 8 years of age and as the children move up into the senior school we ask them to join our main premises in Musselburgh Stage Door Studios.

Our school year focuses on two terms, in our first term we work towards a structured syllabus ending  in  either a school exam or a Royal Academy of Dance exam.

Our second term works towards our Annual Show which is the highlight of the school year this runs  in June  and is held in Musselburgh’s Brunton Theatre. This gives our pupils the chance to put  everything they  have  learnt into practice in a professional Theatre. This is where we announce the  most improved child  throughout the year and Footlights Dance Studio give the child with the biggest  personality on stage a  trophy.
