We offer the younger student a careful path of progression with the opportunity of being introduced to dance classes such as Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Acro Dance, Tap, Contemporary, Musical Theatre and Scottish. We plan levels of training carefully designed to introduce the correct technique and instruction appropriate for the age and physical development of the student. Our school ethos is to nurture each individual child to develop their own strengths and provide them with the confidence and poise to support them throughout life.
Our syllabus of different dance styles works on the development of students from their first encounter with music and movement to becoming accomplished dancers. We strongly advised that parents encourage children to demonstrate what they have been doing in class each week this will then develop into a regular practice session. Practice at home with or without music, helps to strengthen and loosen the body, allowing improvement and progress that enable each child to derive more enjoyment from his/her dancing when in class.
The School is accustomed to achieving a hundred percent pass rate in all RAD examinations and although we are a strong RAD school we do not always feel it necessary for children to enter the RAD children’s examinations. Younger pupils are encouraged to enter school examinations each year which develops confidence and poise.
The School also delivers the Higher Dance Course with a hundred percent pass rate this has been a huge success allowing students to use the knowledge and creativity they have acquired throughout years of training with us into practice. We are proud of each and every one of our pupils and feel privileged to work with them in class; we believe you will share our enthusiasm for the benefits that ballet and its interrelationship with the other arts will provide for your child.
